Today was very relaxing in preparation for our move on to Airlie Beach tomorrow.
Angie had to return to work early this morning and we did say farewell to her last night. She left about 0345 to meet a coach out to the mine site. Drew is still home for a while yet.
We did a walk around the area this morning. Our first stop was the local Pharmacy to obtain a few items. Then we walked back past the BP fuel stop and then into Woolworths to replenish some items we needed. This included some items for lunch and a BBQ this evening with Drew. We walked back to our Karavan.
When we arrived back we decided to defrost the Karavan fridge. It took a little time. During the first part I walked the short distance to the Hardware shop to get a couple of items.
Once back in the Karavan, I removed the ice in lumps. It does not take very long especially when the day is warm. It was finally done and I decided I would wash the Karavan floor as we are now removing the mats as the mornings are not too cool anymore. So the mats are now stowed away in the back of the Mazda.
By then it was lunch time and we had an easy lunch with some nice meats and bread with some other bits to add to it.
After lunch was a real relax time doing some reading and tidying up a few items ready for departure tomorrow. Filled the Karavan water tanks again after our days off water at Carmila Beach.
We spoke to Mal and Zac on Skype for a little while. Mal said it was very unpleasant down there especially compared to where we are now.
So that was basically our last day here.
